In 1950, Akela and Chief, mr and mrs. Pet founded Scouting Wesselgroep in Vlaardingen, the group was one of the first Scouting groups in the Netherlands that combined both boys and girls within one age group. The Wesselgroep started as a traditional group and added Seascouting in 1970, an almost unique combination.

By combining land and seascouting, the Wesselgroep can offer more creative and diverse activities, which benefits both our youth members and leaders. Canoeing, sailing, building rafts, pioneering and of course lighting fires. It's all possible with us.

The Wesselgroep is a close-knit, friendly and active Scouting group that is fully committed to its members. All age groups organize the best meetings every Saturday, ensuring that our slogan "Just that little bit more" is fulfilled every time. After all, the Wesselgroep is 100% Scout-proof!
